About the Author

Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso is a fully accomplished meditation master and internationally renowned teacher of Buddhism.

He is the author of 20 highly acclaimed books on Buddhism and the founder of over 900 Kadampa Meditation Centers and Groups throughout the world.

Gen Mondrub

About the Speaker

Gen Kelsang Mondrub is an American Buddhist monk and a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. He is the Resident Teacher of Rameshori Buddhist Center of Atlanta.

Since 1993, Gen Mondrub has formally engaged the comprehensive spiritual practices and Teacher Training Program of the New Kadampa Tradition as the vehicle for his personal spiritual development and as a means to benefiting others. In March 2001, Gen Mondrub was requested by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and students in Atlanta to become the Resident Teacher of Rameshori Center.

Gen Mondrub presents Buddha's teachings in a simple and inspiring manner, with warmth and humor. Through his personal example, caring nature and skill, Gen Mondrub is able to help students discover for themselves how to integrate these classic teachings into our modern world, making everyday life joyful and meaningful.

After the introductory talk on July 9, join Kadampa Buddhist lay teacher, Chris Byrne, for an ongoing discussion of Introduction to Buddhism. If you have wanted to explore Buddhism and Buddhist meditation for some time, but were not sure how to start, this weekly book club is a perfect way to learn more. Everyone is welcome to attend; drop in for any class.
