The
Buddhist way of loving-kindness is based on the eight beautiful
verses that comprise one of Kadampa Buddhism's best-loved
poems, "Eight Verses of Training the Mind," written
by 12th century Buddhist master, Bodhisattva Langri Tangpa.
These eight verses show us how to transform all of life's
difficulties into valuable spiritual insights. When we train
our mind in the way of loving-kindness, we learn how to
overcome the tendency to blame others and replace this habit
with an ability to cherish whomever we meet.
During
"A Warm and Peaceful Heart", we will study Bodhisattva
Langri Tangpa's teachings on loving kindness and then meditate
on them in order to gain a deeper experience of their meaning.
This retreat is perfect for the holiday season, because
some of our biggest challenges in relationships are with
those we are closest to. Learn how to develop "A Warm
and Peaceful Heart" for our family - and for all living
beings - this holiday season.
